Wiseman Studio Newsletter, June 2026

The spring has been full of activities, beginning with an exhibition in Hong Kong with HomeArt, featuring new works accompanied by a catalog. We have also completed a number of significant commissions, including two in our hometown of Pasadena for lifelong friends, as well as a monumental Illuminated Branch Sculpture, for a residence in California.

Just last week, a new Radial Branch Chandelier was unveiled at the new Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, with images forthcoming. After many months in the making, David has completed a new large owl sculpture, El Tecolote, with a soon to be released related edition.

Throughout this period, we have continued to develop new ideas and methods — including a glass fabrication area in our Frogtown Studio. Earlier this month at Copenhagen’s 3 Days of Design, we introduced a set of 3D-printed flatware with Dung Ngo and Marta as part of the Knife Fork Spoon publication and exhibition.

We were happy to welcome the friends of Sir John Soane’s Museum to the studio, amongst other groups. Finally, David was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Fine Arts from his alma mater, the Rhode Island School of Design—a deeply meaningful recognition. We look forward to welcoming new interns and staff to the studio this summer and to sharing more work in the coming months.
